This year We have another
good opportunity to view the Perseid meteor
shower. We will have a waxing gibbous moon ,
but it
will set at about 2:00am. From past experience
most of the meteor shower is best seen in the small
hours of the morning.
We will be meeting at the
public camp site at Mt Yehoram about 10 km from the city
from 12:00 midnight until sunrise. The place, the
darkness and the quiet are free. "What's Up" the
Observatory will be there with our telescope and giant
binoculars. For only NIS50.00 p/p we will be
giving tours of the night sky from midnight until the
sunrise.
